A banner is to stop-interrupt-your chain of thought.  Clicking on a banner is similar to the impulse decision you  make to buy a piece of candy at the supermarket.

Tips on getting people to click on your banner:

- Use a call to action.  Ex. “Click Here”

- Add a button. 

- Give “Free” stuff or “Discounts”.

- Keep words “short and sweet and compelling”.

- Use animation but don’t go too wild.

- Keep banner “clean“.

- Keep banner small for quick easy download.
